Off Road gear shift/footpegs that might fit ?

Hi all,

Call me daft but I've just bought a V-7, 2017 reg and these boots because they look pretty (hopefully not just a girly thing) and with the aim of doing some green-laning, and camping a little more off the beaten track  ;)

So was wondering if was possible to find off road footpegs and gear shifter that might be fittable?

If so recommends welcome

Cheers!

Let me know how you get on as I'd be interested in this too? (Don't hold your breath waiting for advice as I asked about a suitable tank bag - loads of 'views' on the topic, yet no-one bothered to reply). I don't know about fitting alternative footpegs/gear changer, but if you get anywhere with it, let me know?

As far as I know, the standard pegs and gearchange should be good for on and off road. I only know one person who used to do a bit of green-laning and off-roading on his, and he never had an issue with the factory fitted kit.

Did you have something specific in mind?  Seen something you like on another bike?

Currently trying to upgrade the pegs and gear shifter and brake pedal myself.

Bought some Fastway EVO3 footpegs off a CRF but the adapters are too big for the Varadero, the pivot pin is a 10mm instead of 8mm and the adapter is too thick for the mount so needs shortening to 22mm

Plan is to either get new adapters made on a lathe or to just grind the current ones down to 22mm and fit bronze bushings to take them from a 10mm to 8 mm pin and fit shorter grip grub screws

I ground the adaptors down to 22mm to fit the Varadero then used some split bushings to change the hole from 10 to 8mm.

Haven't fitted the springs but they don't seem to need them as they stay down.
